Pay Range: $27.00 – $31.00 per hour
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to support attorneys with estate administration and probate matters for a Charleston-based law firm serving clients throughout St. George and the surrounding Lowcountry area. This role is responsible for managing case activity from initial filings through final distributions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely progression of matters.
This position is ideal for a paralegal with hands-on probate experience who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in supporting both attorneys and clients during sensitive legal processes.
Assist attorneys with all phases of probate and estate administration matters
Prepare, draft, and file probate pleadings, petitions, notices, and court documents
Organize, review, and maintain estate files, correspondence, and legal documentation
Coordinate with probate courts, financial institutions, government agencies, and third parties
Track deadlines, manage calendars, and ensure cases move forward efficiently
Provide administrative and case management support to maintain organized workflows
Prior paralegal experience in probate, estate administration, or estate planning
Working knowledge of probate court procedures and estate administration requirements
Experience with legal document preparation, filing procedures, and document management systems
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases
High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Professional written and verbal communication skills
